Innovation and Determination
Organized by a single proprietorship and started out as a cottage industry, MCR INDUSTRIES, INC. originally produced overprint varnishes by manual operation without the aid of machines.
When the venture acquired a small, laboratory-type roller mill and a 2-horsepower mixer, it enabled the manufacturing of black printing ink, introducing MCR Ink for the first time in the market.
With the wide acceptance of MCR Ink, the company raised its working capital, set up bigger production, and created a formal management organization, all in less than a year from its humble beginnings.
The company was fully incorporated on November 20, 1968 and acquired new production equipment with the help of fresh capital. A steady growth characterized the company’s production and sales operations during the years that followed.
Excellence and Professionalism
The company’s impressive performance encouraged its management team to launch an aggressive and continuing expansion program, venturing into the production and marketing of colored printing inks, industrial paints, coatings and UV inks, which MCR is still known for to this day.
From a PHP 100,000 capital, the MCR’s current capitalization skyrocketed to 70 million, and continues to grow year after year. It has not only contained the pressure of competition, but has also gained an appreciable share of the market. The company is considered to be as one of the major producers of printing inks in the Philippines, with prestigious printing companies and machine companies among its vast clientele.
MCR INDUSTRIES, INC. is currently based in two locations: Headquarters is at 495 Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, while its Manufacturing Laboratory & Plant is at Bancal, Carmona, Cavite.
